Managing affairs on someone’s behalf?

Invoicing

We will send either a paper invoice or an e-invoice (the e-invoice contract is made through your bank). An e-invoice is an electronic invoice which you will receive electronically to your online banking system. The due date of your invoice is usually around 23rd of each month. The term of payment is 14 days and the interest for late payment is determined in accordance with the Finnish Interest Act (korkolaki). The invoicing is done after electricity use so it is based on true consumption.

Moving to a new home

When you move, you need a contract for both electricity retail and distribution to your new apartment. In addition to the retail contract, Omavoima will take care of making the notification of change of address to the distribution system operator in order to make the distribution contract and to connect the electricity.

When moving, please always remember to contact us at least three working days before the date of moving whether you move from an apartment or into an apartment. Please note that in the districts of the distribution system operators Vakka-Suomen Voima and Rauman Energia, the electricity will be connected on the starting date of the electricity contract at approximately 11:00 am.

Products

OMA Huoleton

This is a non-fixed-term contract. OMA Huoleton is an easy choice if you do not want to worry about your electricity contracts on a regular basis. It is our most popular electricity product.

OMA 12 kk

The contract has a fixed term of 12 months. In the OMA 12 kk contract, the price remains the same for the entire period of contract. You will receive a new offer from us a month before the termination of the fixed-term contract at the latest.

Oma 24 kk

The contract has a fixed term of 24 months. In the OMA 24 kk contract, the price remains the same for the entire period of contract. You will receive a new offer from us a month before the termination of the fixed-term contract at the latest.

Priima

Priima is a non-fixed-term contract. Priima is a product where the price changes on an hourly basis depending on the market price of the Nord Pool Spot, Finnish bidding area. The price in the Priima contract consist of a fixed charge and energy prices. The monthly price is calculated on the basis of the actual market price and electricity use. Priima customers can also make short fixed terms and prices by themselves.

Solar panels for your home

Do you already have solar system and want to sell excess solar power to Omavoima?

  • Make a electricity contract with us (if you already have contract, move to the next point)
  • Notify us your solar systems GSRN number (you will get the number from your distribution system operator)
  • We will make a contract for your panels and in the future we will reduce the amount corresponding to the refund directly from the electricity invoice.

Electric vehicle charging at home

At home, an electric car or hybrid can be charged under certain conditions directly from a suitable outdoor power point, but due to electrical safety it is safer to get a separate charging device.

From Omavoima you can get charging devices with a fixed installation or directly into a power point. The price of installing the charging station starts at 499 €. Contact us below (Form is in Finnish).

You must terminate your electricity contract when you move out. It’s good to be on time, so we can end the contract for the day of the move. Please also let us know which address we can send the final invoice to. If your electricity bill came via electronic invoicing, you will also receive the final bill this way. Please note, however, that payment reminders are sent in paper form, so it would be a good idea to always state the address of the final invoice.

The choice depends entirely on your own usage habits and your home’s electricity consumption. For example an apartment building consumes significantly less electricity than a detached house.

Electricity retailer is the one who sells electricity to your home and distribution system operator takes care of transferring the electricity to your home. You can choose the electricity retailer yourself, but the distribution system operator is determined based on the network area.

Online is a service where you can see consumption data, for example, at the hourly level and comprehensively view energy use and its distribution. You can also view your electricity bills as well as your customer and contract information. For example, you can print a copy of your invoice or see the end date of your fixed-term contract. Through the online service, leaving a contact request is also easy and fast, because you have already identified yourself as our customer.
